S. 227 introduced in the Senate to establish Harriet Tubman national historical parks in Maryland and New York.

June-September: Meetings held in Dorchester, Caroline, and Talbot counties, Maryland, with landowners, public officials, and stakeholders.

p.m. Authors of new biographies and artists discuss new findings
and interpretation of Harriet Tubman.
